Top rated salon teaches the art of brow trimming.

We all know about removing hair on the eyebrows to create a stunning shape but did you know that trimming them plays a huge part in perfecting your brows. Even though brow trimming can be quite tricky, with this guide you will be able to perfect your technique.

What do you need to trim your eyebrows?

A spoolie; this is a little brush shaped like a mascara wand are made to brush the more delicate hairs on the face like the eyebrows or eyelashes.

Scissors; not just any scissors, so please don’t use kitchen, cuticle, craft or meat cutting scissors. No, you will need scissors designed to trim brow hairs.

DECADELA scissors have a long and fine design, making it easy to reach and cut every eyebrow hair. The fine edged blade is perfect for trimming the thinnest to even the thickest brow hairs.

A mirror: we recommend a hand held mirror and a mirror on the wall, this is to ensure that your eyebrows look good from all angles. A cotton round: this is to wipe away excess hairs.

Pro tip; use a cotton round to clean the scissors between trimming to remove the oils and hairs to keep the blade sharp.

Lets get started with the trimming process. Brow trimming requires a steady hand. You can practice this by holding the scissors in your hand and trying to keep it as still as possible.

– If you feel confident enough about your steadiness, start brushing your brow hairs in to the shape you like. Not all the way up, not all the way to the side; just in between. Do you see any hairs sticking out? Give them a trim by holding the scissor parallel to the upper brow line and snip them right off.

– Brush your eyebrows after each snip and check them in both mirrors to prevent weird gaps. Remember that trimming your brows shouldn’t be done in a rush so take your time to carefully snip, look into both mirrors and brush them into place frequently.

– If you don’t see any more hair sticking out and you like the shape, go over your eyebrows with a cotton round to remove trimmings that may have fallen down.

Pro tip; use a cotton round to clean the scissors between trimming to remove the oils and hairs to keep the blade sharp.
